- Anonymous: I am just curious, how do you get your magic to happen? Do you just have to concentrate on it to preform stuff like that or do you need to make preparations?
“It depends on the spell, obviously. Small tricks like a fireball or lightning strike just take some focus and what Inu calls a ‘Will Call’, which is basically just imagining what you want done and then calling for the correct spirit. Beginners in my type of magic usually need to use an incantation for there, like, uh, ‘Surt, burn them!’, or something. With enough practice, they go off with a simple snap, just like any other magic.”
“The Black Rites are what make my style stand out, however. These spells require heavy incantation and sacrifice; the most powerful one known even requires the caster’s life. That’s an extreme case, most of the sacrificing ranges from shaving a few years of your life to giving up a limb or organ in exchange for crushingly powerful magic created from the strongest spirits imaginable.”
